Shotsy alternative in 2026: Pepti AI compared

Disclosure: this page is written by Mister Business Enterprises, the maker of Pepti AI: Tracker App, which is not on the App Store yet. Shotsy is available today.

Pepti AI: Tracker App is a different app from "Peptides Playground - Pepti AI", "Pep AI", "PepAI: Smart Peptide Log" and "Peppi AI", which are made by other developers.

Shotsy GLP-1 Tracker is the most-rated GLP-1 tracker we checked: 4.83 stars from 34,320 US ratings per its App Store listing on 1 November 2026, on iPhone and Android. If you are looking for an alternative, it is usually because of price: Shotsy's website says its core features are free with no time limit, but several recent US reviews say setup now leads straight into a trial of a paid plan. Pepti AI keeps dose logging, reminders, site rotation and the weight chart free with no account and offers Pro once, after your third logged dose. It is iPhone only, is not on the App Store yet, and does less than Shotsy for food and water. If Shotsy works for you and its price suits you, there is no reason to switch.

Why people look for a Shotsy alternative

We read the 400 most recent US reviews Apple returned for Shotsy (16 July to 30 October 2026); 324 rated it 4 or 5 stars and 76 rated it 1 to 3 stars. Theme counts below are approximate keyword matches over those 76 reviews:

  • About 61% mention the paywall or the price: "Free app but pay to use" (2 September 2026), "Misleading website" (22 September 2026).
  • Features moved to a higher tier for existing subscribers: one reviewer paid "$20 a year" and is now asked for "$40 a year" (15 September 2026); others say the estimated-level chart moved to Plus (12 August 2026).
  • Trial confusion: the 7-day trial option "seemed to default to the $59 yearly plan" (18 September 2026), and some reviewers report unexpected charges.
  • History lost after updates: four reviews of version 3.4.0 (21 to 30 October 2026) say their history was gone and onboarding and the paywall appeared again; one says records were lost after installing iOS 27.
  • Others report logging and saving bugs, Apple Health weight sync stopping (August to October 2026), repeated review prompts, and that split doses cannot be logged.

These are individual reports, not a prediction for every user.

What Shotsy does well

The positive reviews are just as clear. About 97 of the 324 four- and five-star reviews praise simple, quick shot logging with dose, site and time history; about 137 mention the weight and progress charts; about 47 the estimated medication level; about 45 the injection-site rotation; and about 30 the reminders. Shotsy runs in 17 languages, supports several medications with separate schedules, imports from Apple Health and, per its website, exports a PDF for your care team. Its App Privacy label lists only data not linked to you, with no tracking.

Who should pick which app

  • Stay with Shotsy if you need Android, food and water logging next to your shots, an app in your language, or a large user base today, and its price suits you.
  • Consider Pepti AI once it is on the App Store if you want dose logging free with no account, a single Pro offer you can close instead of a trial at setup, or a log that also covers peptides other than GLP-1 medications. It is iPhone only for now.

Every app here is a log you fill in yourself; neither replaces your prescriber, and this page is not medical advice.

FAQ

Why do people look for a Shotsy alternative?

We read the 400 most recent US reviews Apple returned for Shotsy (16 July to 30 October 2026). Of the 76 rated 1 to 3 stars, about 61% mention the paywall or the price. Others describe features moving to a pricier tier for existing subscribers, a 7-day trial that seemed to default to the $59.99 yearly plan, history lost after the 3.4.0 update, logging and saving bugs, Apple Health weight sync stopping, and repeated review prompts. These are individual reports, not a prediction for every user.

Is Shotsy free?

It depends on whom you ask. Shotsy's website says the core features are free with no time limit and no payment details, and that Shotsy+ adds extras such as the estimated medication-level chart. Its App Store description does not describe a free tier, and several US reviews from August to October 2026 say setup leads straight into a 7-day trial and that there is no longer a free version. Check what the app shows you before you start a trial.

What does Shotsy do better than Pepti AI?

Quite a lot. Shotsy is available today on iPhone and Android, in 17 languages, with 34,320 US ratings at 4.83. It logs calories, protein and water next to your shots, imports from Apple Health, and its website mentions a PDF export for your care team. Its App Privacy label lists only data not linked to you. Pepti AI is not on the App Store yet, is iPhone only, and has no food logging in version 1.0.

What is free in Pepti AI?

Dose logging, unlimited compounds, schedules, reminders, site rotation, history, vial inventory, the weight chart with Apple Health weight sync, CSV export, encrypted backup and 5 assistant questions a day, with no account. Pro costs $29.99 a year with a 1-week free trial, $4.99 a month, or $59.99 once for lifetime; the free trial is on the yearly plan only.

When does Pepti AI ask you to pay?

It offers Pro once, after your third logged dose, and that screen has a Close button. There is no paywall during onboarding, and logging keeps working without Pro. Other Pro screens appear only when you tap something that is part of Pro, such as the insight charts or the assistant limit.

Can I move my Shotsy history to Pepti AI?

Not in version 1.0. Pepti AI imports only its own backup files, so you would start a new log. Keep your Shotsy records, for example the PDF export its website describes, if you need your history.

Does Pepti AI tell me how much to take?

No. Pepti AI is a log only: you record what you took, as entered, and it has no dose calculator. Its assistant declines dosing questions and suggests asking your prescriber. Follow your prescriber's instructions.

When does Pepti AI launch?

Pepti AI: Tracker App is not on the App Store yet; it is planned for iPhone in late 2026. Android comes after the iPhone launch.
