How to log strength sets and reps from Apple Watch
Use a Watch lifting log to enter weight and reps for each set; the built-in Apple Watch Workout app is an option for recording a strength-training session. Ironcraft lets you start a workout on your wrist and enter weight and reps with the Digital Crown, saving each set on the watch before sending it to iPhone.

Compare the approaches
| Approach | Useful for | Limit or tradeoff |
|---|---|---|
| Apple Watch Workout | Start a built-in strength-training session without adding a lifting app. | For a set-by-set record, check that your chosen workflow includes explicit weight and rep entry. |
| iPhone workout log | Use the larger phone screen for entering and reviewing sets. | You need to reach for the phone when you record a set. |
| Ironcraft on Apple Watch | Enter weight and reps on your wrist, rest and see heart rate. | Optional companion requires watchOS 11 or later and iPhone with iOS 18 or later; you enter the values. |
Choose the record you need
If you need a session record, open Workout on Apple Watch and choose the workout type. If you want to compare loads and reps between sets, use a lifting log with those entry fields.
Enter each completed set
In Ironcraft, start a workout on your wrist and enter weight and reps using the Digital Crown. Check the values before continuing. Each set is saved on the watch first and then sent to iPhone, so a dropped connection does not discard that set.
Review sharing and backup choices
With your permission, Ironcraft saves workouts to Apple Health; its Watch workouts include heart rate and active energy. Review the Health permissions you grant and export encrypted backups from Ironcraft Settings periodically; the publisher cannot restore your logs.
Availability and languages
Ironcraft is for adults 18 and older on iPhone with iOS 18 or later; its optional Apple Watch app requires watchOS 11 or later. Available in 143 countries and regions, excluding China mainland, Russia, the EU, Iceland, Norway and the United Kingdom. The app interface is English; translated guides do not change app language or regional availability. Check your local App Store.

Does Ironcraft automatically count my reps?
The documented workflow is manual weight and rep entry with the Digital Crown. Automatic rep detection is not claimed.
Is Watch logging part of the free plan?
Yes. Ironcraft’s free plan includes workout logging on iPhone and Apple Watch.
What happens if my Watch loses its phone connection?
Each set is saved on the watch first, then sent to iPhone. That describes set storage, not a promise that every app function works without a phone.
