Ironcraft Support
Email us at mister-business-enterprises@agentmail.to. Please tell us your Ironcraft version (in Ironcraft's Settings, under About), your iPhone model and iOS version, and your Apple Watch model and watchOS version if the question is about the watch.
Do not send health details, medication-log entries, photos or your backup passphrase. We never need them to help you, and we will never ask for your passphrase. If you send health details anyway, we delete them from the conversation as soon as we see them, unless you give us your explicit consent to keep them for a purpose we tell you.
Ironcraft's Settings are behind the gear button on the Today tab. In the answers below, "Ironcraft Settings" means that screen and "iPhone Settings" means the Settings app.
Purchases
Restore purchases
In Ironcraft Settings, open Ironcraft Pro and tap Restore Purchases. Pro comes back on any device signed in to the Apple Account you used to buy it. You can check which account that is in iPhone Settings: tap your name, then Media & Purchases.
If Pro does not come back:
- Make sure you are online and signed in to the Apple Account you bought Pro with.
- If someone uses Ask to Buy for your account, the purchase appears once they approve it.
- A purchase that Apple refunded is no longer active.
- If you get Pro through Family Sharing, see Family Sharing.
Still stuck? Email us the purchase date and the order ID from reportaproblem.apple.com. Do not send card details.
Manage or cancel your subscription
In Ironcraft Settings, open Ironcraft Pro and tap Manage Subscription. You can also go to iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Ironcraft. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date or before your free trial ends. Deleting Ironcraft does not cancel a subscription. After you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Apple's guide: Cancel a subscription from Apple.
To switch between the monthly and yearly plans, choose the other plan on the same screen. Both plans include the same Pro features, so the switch takes effect at your next renewal date. Pro stays on until then, and you are not charged twice for the same period.
Free trial
The yearly plan has a 1-week free trial for new subscribers. Apple decides who is eligible, and Ironcraft shows the trial only when you are. Otherwise the yearly plan starts at its normal price. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends if you do not want to be charged. If notifications are on, Ironcraft reminds you 2 days before the trial ends.
Lifetime and an existing plan
Lifetime is a one-time purchase for Pro access for as long as Ironcraft remains available. It is not a subscription. Buying Lifetime does not cancel a yearly or monthly plan you already have. After you buy Lifetime, cancel the plan as described above so you are not billed again.
Refunds
Apple handles all payments and refunds, and we cannot issue refunds or see your payment details. Ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or see Apple's refund guide.
Family Sharing
Ironcraft Pro works with Family Sharing:
- Yearly or monthly plan: the person who subscribed goes to iPhone Settings, taps their name, then Subscriptions, and turns on Share with Family. On some iOS versions the switch is called Share New Subscriptions.
- Lifetime: the family organizer turns on Purchase Sharing in iPhone Settings: tap your name, then Family Sharing, then Purchase Sharing.
- Family members: open Ironcraft Settings, open Ironcraft Pro and tap Restore Purchases.
Sharing Pro shares no data. Each person's logs stay on their own devices. Apple's guide: Add a family member to your shared subscriptions.
Your data
Where is my data?
On your iPhone, encrypted, and on your Apple Watch. Ironcraft has no account and we run no server, so we cannot see your data or restore it for you. Your backups are what protect it. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Back up your data
Use both of these:
- Device backup with iCloud Keychain. Back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, and keep iCloud Keychain on. To check, go to iPhone Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, then Passwords (called Passwords and Keychain on older iOS versions), and make sure syncing for this iPhone is on. The backup holds Ironcraft's data in encrypted form, and iCloud Keychain holds the key that opens it.
- Encrypted backup file. In Ironcraft Settings, open Backup and export a backup file. Choose a passphrase you will remember. We cannot recover it, and without it nobody can open the file. Save the file somewhere other than the iPhone itself, such as Files on iCloud Drive, a computer or a USB drive.
Export a backup file from time to time, and always before you change phones, reset your iPhone, or turn off iCloud Keychain.
Restore a backup file
In Ironcraft Settings, open Backup, choose Restore from File, pick the file and enter its passphrase. Entries already on the iPhone stay. Entries from the file are added, and where the same entry exists in both, the newer version wins. Restoring the same file twice creates no duplicates. If the file was made by a newer version of Ironcraft, update the app first.
Export as CSV, or import from another app
In Ironcraft Settings, open Export to save your data as CSV files. CSV files are not encrypted, so keep them somewhere private. To bring in history from another workout app, export a CSV from that app, then import it in Ironcraft Settings. The import screen lists the formats it reads and shows a preview before anything is saved.
Moving to a new iPhone
On your old iPhone, before you switch:
- Make sure iCloud Keychain is on (see Back up your data).
- Export an encrypted backup file and save it off the phone, just in case.
- If you log workouts on Apple Watch, open Ironcraft on the old iPhone and check that your latest watch workouts are there.
On your new iPhone:
- Set it up from your old iPhone (Quick Start) or from an iCloud or computer backup, using the same Apple Account. Keep iCloud Keychain on.
- Open Ironcraft. Your data opens as soon as the key arrives from iCloud Keychain. This can take a few minutes after setup, so keep the iPhone on Wi-Fi and charging.
- Restore Pro if needed (see Restore purchases).
- Pair your Apple Watch with the new iPhone and open Ironcraft on the iPhone, so the watch gets your routines.
If Ironcraft says it is waiting for its key: Ironcraft does not delete or overwrite anything while it waits. Check that the new iPhone is signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud Keychain on, then wait and open Ironcraft again. If you never had iCloud Keychain on, or you used a different Apple Account, restore your backup file instead (see Restore a backup file).
If you set up the new iPhone as new (not from a backup), install Ironcraft and restore your backup file.
Erase your old iPhone only after you have checked that your data is on the new one.
Turning off iCloud Keychain or signing out of iCloud
Export a backup file first. If iOS asks whether to keep your passwords or Keychain data on this iPhone, choose to keep them. Otherwise Ironcraft cannot open its data until the key is back.
App lock
Turn on app lock in Ironcraft Settings to require Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode when Ironcraft opens. If Face ID does not recognize you, you can use your device passcode instead.
Apple Watch
Getting started
Install Ironcraft on your watch from the App Store on the watch, or from the Watch app on your iPhone. Open Ironcraft on your iPhone once so it can send your routines to the watch.
A watch workout is not on my iPhone
Each set is saved on the watch first and then sent to the iPhone in the background. It arrives when the two can reach each other (Bluetooth or the same Wi-Fi), even hours later. To speed it up:
- Keep the watch near your iPhone, with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on.
- Open Ironcraft on the iPhone. If the iPhone has just restarted, unlock it once.
- Make sure both have the latest version of Ironcraft.
- Restart both devices if it still has not arrived after a few minutes.
Do not delete Ironcraft from the watch while a workout is waiting. Deleting the app deletes the workouts that have not reached your iPhone yet. Finished workouts are kept on the watch for 30 days.
Routines on the watch are missing or out of date
Open Ironcraft on your iPhone. Changes go to the watch the next time the two connect.
Heart rate is missing
Turn on Apple Health in Ironcraft Settings (gear on Today), then allow Ironcraft to read heart rate when the watch asks. The switch reaches the watch the next time the two connect and applies from the next workout you start there. You can review permissions in the Health app on your iPhone: tap your profile picture, then Apps, then Ironcraft. Wear the watch snugly with Wrist Detection on.
Reminders
I am not getting reminders
Go through this list:
- Notifications allowed: in iPhone Settings, open Notifications, then Ironcraft, and turn on Allow Notifications, with Lock Screen, Notification Center, Banners and Sounds.
- Time Sensitive: on the same screen, turn on Time Sensitive Notifications. Medication-log reminders and the rest timer use it so they can get through a Focus.
- Focus: in iPhone Settings, open Focus, choose each Focus you use (including Sleep and any scheduled Focus), then Apps. Add Ironcraft to the allowed apps, or turn on Time Sensitive Notifications for that Focus.
- Scheduled Summary: if Ironcraft is in your notification summary, its reminders that are not Time Sensitive wait for the summary. Take Ironcraft out of it under iPhone Settings, Notifications, Scheduled Summary.
- Ironcraft's own switches: in Ironcraft Settings, open Notifications and check that the reminder type is on, and that the schedule has its reminder turned on. Quiet hours silence other reminders, or skip them if you turned on "Skip reminders instead of silencing them". Trial-ending and "reminders coming" notices are silenced but never skipped. Quiet hours never move or silence medication-log reminders or the rest timer.
- Open Ironcraft now and then: iOS limits how many reminders an app can schedule ahead. Ironcraft schedules the next ones each time you open it. If the medication log is on, Notifications shows how far ahead its reminders are set ("Reminders scheduled through …"). If you get the reminder "Open Ironcraft to keep your reminders coming", open it. Keeping Background App Refresh on for Ironcraft also helps (iPhone Settings › General › Background App Refresh).
- Sound: silent mode mutes reminder sounds, but banners still show.
- Apple Watch: reminders appear on the watch when your iPhone is locked and the watch is on your wrist. Check the Watch app on your iPhone: Notifications, then Ironcraft.
A reminder can still be late or missing, for example when your device is off, low on storage or in Low Power Mode. Do not rely on Ironcraft alone for anything important. See the health and medical notice.
Reminders are at the wrong time after travel or a clock change
Each medication-log schedule has a time zone setting. "Follow my iPhone" keeps the local time wherever you are, so 8:00 stays 8:00. A fixed time zone keeps the same moment as at home. When clocks change for daylight saving time, a time that does not exist that day (it is skipped when clocks go forward) fires one hour later, and a time that happens twice (when clocks go back) fires the first time. After you arrive in a new time zone, open Ironcraft so it can reschedule.
Keep reminders private
Discreet reminders are on by default. If you turn them off, reminder text can show the item name. With discreet reminders on, medication-log reminders read "Scheduled entry", without a name or amount, and no reminder ever shows an amount. The switch is in Ironcraft Settings, under Medication log. You can also hide previews for all apps: in iPhone Settings, open Notifications, then Show Previews, and choose When Unlocked.
The rest timer is silent
The end of a rest is announced by a notification, so allow notifications and sounds for Ironcraft (step 1 above) and check that silent mode is off. While the timer runs, it also shows on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
Deleting your data
- One entry: swipe left on it, or open it and tap Delete.
- Everything: export a backup file first if you might want the data later, because this cannot be undone. Then, in Ironcraft Settings, choose Delete All Data and confirm. This removes all Ironcraft data on the iPhone, the widget summary, scheduled and delivered reminders and Live Activities, and tells your Apple Watch to erase the Ironcraft data it holds from before the deletion the next time the two connect. Nothing the watch made before the deletion is saved on the iPhone, even if it arrives later.
- Not removed by Delete All Data:
- Data Ironcraft saved to Apple Health. To remove it, open the Health app, tap your profile picture, then Apps, Ironcraft, and delete its data there.
- Files you exported, such as CSV files or backup files. Delete them wherever you saved them.
- Device backups made before you deleted the data. They keep an encrypted copy until they are replaced. You can manage iCloud backups in iPhone Settings: tap your name, then iCloud, then Manage Account Storage, then Backups.
- Deleting the app removes its data from that device. Delete Ironcraft from your Apple Watch separately.
We do not hold your app data, so there is nothing for us to delete except support emails. Ask us and we will delete them.
