Timed media invitations or ordinary message attachments?
An ordinary attachment suits media you expect a recipient to keep. iencrypt message is a private-beta iOS companion and Messages extension for timed photos and short videos. Its invitation opens media through a viewing flow with a deadline. Choose it for that workflow, not for a promise that a recipient cannot make a copy.

Compare the approaches
| Approach | Useful for | Limit or tradeoff |
|---|---|---|
| Ordinary attachment | Straightforward sharing for recipients to keep and revisit. | Sending it does not provide this app’s timed viewing workflow. |
| Do not send the media | Avoid distributing a copy when disclosure is unacceptable. | The recipient cannot view what you do not share. |
| iencrypt message | Encrypted uploads, timed invitations and sender revocation of future access. | Requires the native extension; downloaded copies cannot be recalled. |
Know when the clock starts
The first explicit open starts one deadline shared by everyone holding the invitation, not a fresh timer for each recipient. Unopened media expires after 24 hours. Sender revocation prevents future access through the service; it does not erase copies already obtained. The browser and Expo Go cannot run the Messages extension.
Treat the invitation as access
Someone holding the invitation can access it subject to its deadline and any separately shared private code. Encryption does not establish the recipient’s human identity. Screenshots, external cameras and modified clients can retain media. Reporting and device-local blocking have limits too. For material whose copying would be unacceptable, do not rely on an expiry timer.
Availability and languages
Private beta. The product page explains the service; it is not a public App Store download or a browser media viewer.

Does expiry guarantee deletion from every device?
No. The service enforces access deadlines, but screenshots, recordings and already downloaded copies may remain outside its control.
Is it publicly available or translated in the app?
It remains a private beta, with an English app interface. These guides have Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese translations; public iOS or Android availability is not claimed.
